for the forum-cannot use area to type in.
Or charge fee to join like other forums do.

There are a few others, too. If you go to www.youtube.com and serch for “Knitting trinity Stitch” 2 - 4 come up.
:?? I have no idea what are you talking about. We don’t have banners asking for money. There is a small unobtrusive banner suggesting ways to help KH that was requested by other members of the forum who wanted to help. It doesn’t affect forum usage in any way. If you don’t want to click then you don’t need to do so.

A google search brought up lots of hits. here’s a few.

When I tried to click on the glossary or the
search space, which I found out there is
another place to do that, I got the info
on the forum help instead.
I am serious when I say charge for forum. I pay for another forum,
have been for years-it is taken automatically out of my paypal acct.

No feathers ruffled, I was just really confused. I’m not sure exactly what you clicked, but we’ve never had anyone say they’ve had problems before. :shrug:
The forum owners do not want to charge for the forum. They want it to be free and available for all of the knitting community. They’ve never even asked for a donation. The “Five Ways to Help KH” came about because there were some members who wished to support Knitting Help. 
You may have accidentally clicked on the Five ways to Help banner. Maybe your browser isn’t configured right for the site and where the Glossary tab is, is actually the link for the donations page. Though the Go button for the search is very close to the banner.
