Trinity Stitch Help

Hi,

I am trying to learn a few new stitches by making washcloths. I want to try the trinity stitch from “Knit Stitches & Easy Projects” by Leisure Arts (page 7). I am not sure what this means…

Row 2: * (K,P,K) all in next st, P3 tog, repeat from * across.

It’s the all in bold that is confusing me. Can you knit, purl, knit, then purl those together, that doesn’t seem possible.

Then in Row 4: * P3 tog, (K,P,K), all in next st; repeat from * across.

:??

Help…xxx

You’re doing an increase in that stitch. Knit one, but don’t slide it off. Bring the yarn between the needles and purl into that same stitch. Don’t slide it off. Bring the yarn back between the needles, knit again into that stitch, and then slide it off. You’ll have 3 stitches where you had one.

Oh, I get it…

Thanks I will try again!
