the pattern tells you to turn your work at the end of a triangle, what does that mean?
This is a Bernat pattern, easy. But the turn thing is making me crasy:knitting:
Turn means turn your work as if you were at the end of a row, even if you might not have worked all the way across. If you have a link to the pattern, we could give you more specific help.

do I always just pick up 47 stiches? I wish they showed this laid out and not wrapped around a person. 
The note says it makes a rectangle composed of 7 triangles. You pick up 46 sts to start each new triangle and with the one st on your needle makes 47.
