Tree Skirt Pattern - Cable Issues

I’m trying to knit a tree skirt but am having problems with the cable part of the pattern. I’ve frogged my work 4 times and am now convinced that there’s a typo with the actual pattern. :doh: Can anyone tell me what I need to correct to get this to work?

Rows 1,5: (right side) k
Row 2 & all even rows: p2, k1, p9, k1, p across to last 13 sts, k1,p9, k1, p2
Row 3: k3, c6f, k3, k1, m1, k to last 13 sts, m1, k1, c6f, k to end.
Row 7: k3, k6, c6b, k1, m1, k to last 13 sts, m1, k1, k3, c6f, k to end
Row 8: row 2

The cables on the left hand side (right side facing) look great, but the numbers seem to be off on the other side of the pattern. I’m new at this so I’m lost at how to correct it.

I kind of worked it out on paper, and it seems to be ok. You’re not always working the same 6 stitches of the 9 for the cables. Sometimes it’s the first 6 and sometimes it’s the last 6, depending on where in the pattern you are.

How far did you get and what seemed to be going wrong?

I worked the pattern about 5 times and it was a mess. For whatever reason, the cable on the right hand side (right side facing) doesn’t compute. The m1 stitch is off and the cable isn’t right. The left hand side looks perfect. I’m just at a loss as to what I’m doing wrong. Thanks for taking a look at it.
