Travelling Woman

Finished this shawl in less than a week
Beautiful, easy pattern to follow and I thoroughly enjoyed knitting it.
I used Classic Elite Yarns “Fresco”. This yarn is so soft and squishy and I really want to buy lots more in different colours, I fell in love with it!
This shawl will be sent to my step mother for Mother’s Day

Thank you for looking,
Bev

Your shawl is beautiful and I know your step mom will love it.

It turned out great. I have that printed and I hope I’ll be casting on this week.

Preeetttyyy!!

Wow, it’s beautiful!

Beautiful knitting!

Wonderful gift!!!

Oh wow! Another winner! Now what pattern is this? Cuz this style is right up my alley, for me! Is it your own creation, or is there a pattern for it somewhere online!?

It is truly lovely!

Lovely shawl! I’ve been wanting to knit that one – how was the pattern?

Artlady you can find the pattern on knitting pattern central. One of these days I am going to make this shawl. I love half round shawls.

What a lovely thoughtful gift! You did a great job on it

Beautiful! She will LOVE it!

This pattern is called “Travelling Woman”. Free pattern on Ravelry. very easy pattern and hard to put down once you start it lol. You can make it larger by doing more repeats too, which I would have liked to do, but since I had to mail it away I didn’t have much time

Really lovely, Bev.

That is so gorgeous, looks hard to do, even though you said it’s easy…
Lucky woman who gets this! Plz show us any others you might do!

My shawl swatch is off to a good start , thanks Sue for the easier way to start it … turned out very nice.

Here is the problem … the edge yarn overs look different on each side and I can not for the life of me figure out how I am doing them different … front, back, a twist somewhere … the right side has nice even holes, the left side holes just sort of blend in. My middle yo’s look like the right side …

I am using JaggerSpun Zephyr Wool-Silk… so soft! …doubled. The swatch is using a size 6 needle, I am going to go up to a 7 on the next try… but really want to solve the YO mystery before I start.
I will try for a better picture, if this doesn’t show it clearly enough!

A better picture.
The swatch is “blocked” … sort of, so I know it is not just a matter of blocking, but something is different about the way I am doing the yarn over.

It’s because of the YOs that are done on the purl side, they have to be done differently and will look a little different. It really won’t be as noticeable when you’re done, honest.

Thank you so much, Sue. I have started my new swatch (shawl, if all goes well) and I was thinking that something was going on with the purl side. I trust you and will continue knitting and depend on blocking for taking care of the noticeableness
I do love the way the start you suggested looks … the other one feels fiddly and looks fiddly !
