I have a boy that I babysit and he is addicted to Thomas the tank engine. I want to crochet him a train that he can play with… but as you could guess, i am having trouble finding a pattern for that. Does anyone know of any free patterns for this purpose on the internet? ANY help would be much much appreciated!!! Thanx! :yay:
so far, all i could find was a picture of some crochet trains… you could probably figure out a pattern with this picture as a guide,
i know its not a pattern but i will keep looking
Get a clear picture of what you want to make, then break it down into simple shapes, think rectangles, squares, triangles, circles. Then start building from there. I made an iMac computer one day out of boredom. Then, sew it all together and stuff it.
My suggestion is to use something like red heart super saver becaused its washable, and use a smaller than recommended needle size with single crochets, to keep the fabric tight.
If you want, I could try to make one for you and write the pattern down or something…
I’m thinking a nice round tube for the body of the engine, a square for the rest, circles for the wheels… etc.
okay, i looked all over, and found the same train, but with a much closer picture, you should be able to get a pretty good idea of how to make a train with this
