So I got some Touch Me on sale. It is crazy soft. If you haven’t touched it, it’s likely you’ve never felt any yarn like this. It is a rayon/wool chenille. I think it’s just the binder down the middle that’s wool. I’m told if you felt it (hot washer AND dryer), it comes out even softer, and gets rid of the worming problem chenille is known to have, and it doesn’t get much smaller, since it’s just the wool binder that tightens.
Anyway, I made these two pieces from last night. This stuff is so expensive to have such little yardage. Combine that with the fact that I crocheted the scarf, knowing that crochet eats up yards faster and generally goes faster, means that once I figured out how I wanted to do it, the scarf was made in less than 2 hours. If all projects were this fast and this expensive, I would never have been able to build up a stash. Anywho, it’s a modified stitch from the Harmony Guide 220 More Crochet Stitches.
The choker band is knit in 2x2 ribbing. The flower is crocheted with another modified pattern (I modified from 8 petals to 5 petals) from the same Harmony Guide book. The leaf is knit from the Berroco free pattern “Tornabuoni”.
Funny, the choker doesn’t want to stay on the side where I put the flower. If I move my neck around a lot, it ends up on the other side, and that’s where it stays. :teehee: I know my shoulders are not even height because of different muscle buildups (because of my marked spinal curvature? carried too many bookbags all my life? ), so I guess that’s why. I wish I had realized that before, cuz with the flower on the other side, the buttons are right at the front in the middle of my neck.
see that sweater neckline and sleeves? my absolute favorite. store bought, I’ve worn it out. that’s going to be the next thing I design.

Wow very beautiful!!! :cheering: :cheering: The yarn looks sooooo SOOOFT!!!
