Hello again I am confused with this pattern. I have got to the part of shape V neck, but it says the left front should measure 15 and a quarter inches from top of waist rib. Well at no point in the pattern does it say to rib half way up the garment, so what am I missing here. I have read and reread it several times and still have no clue. Please can someone advise me. I have put photos up of the pattern. Thank you.

There are two variations on this cardigan, one with a V-neck and one with a shawl collar. The shawl collar has a waist rib.
There are several possibilities: one is to look for a schematic with the pattern which may give the length from bottom hem to shoulder. Another is to use the measurements given for the shawl collar pattern which should tell you length to waist rib, waist rib length and then you have length from waist rib to shoulder.
You might also hold the front up to yourself to see the desired length. I see that the back is measured by the front length so that isn’t really a help.
It’s an error in the pattern, assuming that this version is the same as the shawl collar version.

It’s a shame you’re held up by an error in the pattern.
There is a customer services link for King cole on this link for your pattern, scroll down to see it listed. I would contact them and mention the error and request a correction.
Also, I don’t know if this info is on your pattern somewhere, but on the same link above, if you go through the pictures there is a size chart and it gives the full length of the cardigan as 32 3/4 inches for the largest size.
I would use that measurement and stop a little under this to allow for the last 4 rows of the shoulder shaping (I think it’s 4 rows then bind off). Depending how many rows per inch you could stop at maybe 32 inch or 31.5 inch, then do shoulder shaping. You can measure 4 rows on your own gauge to help in knowing when to stop.
I hope this helps, I would be very frustrated to be unable to move on.

Well thank you all again for your help. I contacted king cole and they agreed there is a mistake in the pattern, it should read as follows: Shape V neck
Cont in st-st, dec 1 st at front edge (end) of next row and every foll 4th row 8[8:4:1:2] times. 28[35:46:57:62] sts. Dec 1 st at front edge of every foll 6th row 1[2:6:9:9] times. 27[33:40:48:53] sts.
Cont in st-st until left front measures 54.5 [64.5:73.5:79.5:81.5]cm, 21.5 [25.5: 29: 31.25:32]in, from cast on edge, ending with a p row.
They offered me a free pattern as a complementary apology. Very happy with the outcome of this.

That’s the nicest of outcomes. Designers and publishers should support their patterns but so often our messages are ghosted.
Have fun finishing this lovely sweater and do let us see a photo when you finish. And enjoy choosing the next free pattern!

That’s a good result.
I’m glad that you got a reply and confirmation that it is 32 inches.
Thanks for the update.

Great to know that King Cole responded so promptly, and with a free pattern! So many companies just seem to ignore comments from people trying to use their patterns.
