Have you ever made something and you knew within about 10 rows it was going to be the worst UGH! you have ever come across? This was one of those things. But… I kept knitting. It is revolting!!!

I like it! Maybe it is just not to your taste. 
The good thing about knitting (as opposed to say, carpentry) is that you can always re-use your materials for something else if you finish a project and decide you don’t like it.
It doesn’t look bad at all! Maybe you just don’t like the colors after all?

It may not be your taste but I could totally see someone who likes the “BOHO” look liking this hat. It’s not revolting, it’s just not your style!
Not revolting, perhaps not your cup of tea.
Personally, I would remove the pom pom and make many pom poms in the dark color and stitch them one next to each other on the low rib, to look like a kind of cossack hat.
I don’t find it to be revolting!

I think the pattern is fine but I must agree that the color combination is rather odd.

It was some handspun wool that I dyed. Individually it looks OK, but together YUK. The hat looks like a blob with a pompom when it is on a head.
LOL … it’s just different - not revolting! I’m sure you can find someone who would just LOVE the different color combos.
