Ok, i´m trying silver´s sock tutorial, and got stocked with the short row heel. Problem is, when i finish the heal, there´s big holes around, where the wrap stiches where! How can i handled this? Is there a way to tighten the stitches? Love the way the sock fit,
but had to frog a couple of time because of the holes! please help!!! BTW, i´m knitting just one at a time cause don´t have a long enough circs for both
You could sew them up with sewing cotton if you had to, but really you’re better off either accepting that that’s what happens with short rows, or figuring out how to do them better! It’s all about how you wrap the stitch and then later on how you knit the wraps. First try doing them all tighter than you usually do. If that doesn’t help, Google for ways to fix this: Misocrafty’s blog has a post on how to hole-free short rows. Also Sockknitters’ forum is full of people describing what they do to fix short row holes.
thank you! thought that i was doing something wrong, :pout: i´m trying again, i think the more i knit this heel, the better is coming!! :cheering:
