I’m a brand new member of this site, and I am looking for a pattern to knit sweaters for my two grandsons, 7 months and 2 1/2 years old. I want to make a raglan sleeved pullover for each of them, but have been unable to find a basic pattern. I don’t want to do the new style of knitting from the neck down. Does anyone out there have a pattern? Thanks so much!

Why not a top down raglan? You can take the same basic pattern and make it any size. With the raglan sleeved shaping it seems like a lot of extra work to make it in pieces and sew it together.

I can’t imagine why you’d want to make a raglan and seam since seamless is darn easy and fast, but here’s a seamed one that might work.

That Lion pattern could be knit in worsted yarn on smaller needles for the baby.
