When you have a project on the needles (large needles specifically) and the pattern calls for you knit ‘x’ number of inches before decreasing… do you measure from the bottom of the project to the bottom of the needle or to the top of the needle?
I am making a chemo cap on straight needles (size 13). I am to knit a row and then purl a row until it is 7 inches. Should it be 7 inches to the bottom of the neddle or to the top of the needle? Or does it really matter.
