Tips for safely storing heirloom knits

Hi All,

I finished a knitted christening gown for my daughter this year. I was just wondering if anyone has any tips or product recommendations for safely storing and protecting heirloom knits into the future?

What a lovely heirloom to knit. Congratulations to you and your family.
I make sure the dress has been washed according to the ballband instructions and store in acid-free tissue in a box. A lavender sachet is a good idea to add even if you haven’t seen any moths. (If you are afraid of moths, put the dress in a bag in the freezer for 3-4 weeks before storing.)
