TIP: Keeping track of start of rows on circular

I just made my first cap, with major help from Jan in CA! :muah:

In doing so, I thought this was a good idea and thought I would share. Normally I would use stitch markers, but with baby yarn and size 3 and 4 needles, they stuck out too far, so I simply wove in the tail from the cast on as I went. When it came time to finish and I messed up, it was easy to find where to start from, I just followed the tail

Here’s a pic:

Thanks! :passedout:

Good idea! Do what works for you! :cheering:

I always use the tail. I rarely have a stitch marker when i need one and they invariably fall off when i throw my needles in my bag so it has just become easier to use the tail for me…

ETA… ooh i just looked at your pic again. i don’t do it THAT way though. I just let it hang down and then follow it’s path up the work with my finger!
