My stitches are really tight to knit. Is there any way to get it a little loser so that it is easier to knit?
You don’t have to yank on the yarn when you wrap it around the needle, a stitch will tighten up when you knit the next stitch. Make sure you knit into the leg of the stitch that’s closest to the tip; if you knit into the one that’s further away that twists them and it’s tighter.
Are you a new knitter? If so that’s really common. In addition to what Sue said just practicing helps you develop a nice easy tension.
It seems so simple, but it took me forever to figure out that I need to make sure the new stitch is actually on the fatter part of the needle and not just sitting on the skinnier part at the tip. HTH
