Tie Pattern

"Row 28: Sc across to next to last sc, ch 1, turn. (This is the decrease to shape side of tie).

Row 29: Sc across, 2 sc in last st, ch 1, turn.

Row 30-41: Alternate 28th and 29th rows. From here on, to shape tie, make 1 increase every 6th Row and 1 decrease every other row, until there are 13 stripes in the pattern."

Does this mean that after row 41, I m1 every 6th row and dec 1 every other row? Or am I supposed to make the increases and decreases WHILE I alternate between row 28 and 29?

Repeat the 2 rows - every 6th row do an inc, and while doing a dec every other row. They’ll be on different edges I imagine.

After doing some thinking, I think that I’m supposed to alternate between 28 and 29 for rows 30-41, and after increase every 6th row and dec. every other row.
