Three Needle Bind Off

Making a sweater. I have bound of the stiches at the shoulder on the front and back pieces as per the pattern. It is now time to start the sleeves and the first instruction is to “join the shoulders usint three-needle bind-off method”. I’m familiar with this bind off method but how do I bind of stitches that are already bound off???

If the pattern wanted you to do a 3nbo, they shouldn’t have told you to bind off the stitches. :?? You could take out the bind-off and do the 3nbo. I love the seam it makes. Or you could sew them together and then continue.

Huh. I agree w/Ingrid - I don’t know why they would’ve told you to bind off and then join doing a 3nbo. If it were me (I HATE to rip out stitches) I would just flat seam them.

:frog: Good grief - what a shambles for my first project (other than a couple of dish cloths). Well, I’ve found a few more mistakes in the pattern so I have decided to rip out the stitches and bind off along the neck (where they had me put the stitches onto a holder and then no further instructions!!!). I also have to rip out a bunch on the front because I don’t think the v-neck hole is going to be large enough. Speaking of, how big does the neck whole have to be if the child’s head circumfrance is 21" - taking into account that the neck will stretch some? :hair:
