This may be basic but need help anyway! Sl1K1?

I haven’t done this one. I am attempting socks and at the turn of the heel it says to do this for several inches.

I have done the Sl1K1, psso. But Sl1 K1.

Is this Slipped stitch just laying there or am I slipping one onto the right needle and then knitting one on the left with the slipped stich not knitted or something else???

Anyone that can help would be awesome!

Thanks Lori

Yep, just slip 1 st, knit the next and continue across the row in pattern, leaving the slipped st un-worked. I’ve worked a pattern with (Sl1, K1). If I remember correctly, the st was knitted on the following row; what resulted was a flat stitch that didn’t look like a knit or purl. It was flat and upside down “U” shaped instead of the “V” shape like stockinette.

Hope that helps!

Thank you so much! I was so unsure…

I’ll let you know how it goes! Thanks for the reply!

Lori

I actually did it and despite it feeling a bit tight (I assume that is correct) it is knitting up pretty quickly.

Thanks a lot!

You are most welcome!
