This is REALLY weird.. St st curling in the ROUND!

I feel like such a n00b asking this… but can a too-tight gauge make your St st curl while knitting in the round? Mine is curling, and it’s creeping me OUT.

It always curls, flat or round. Like if you’re making a hat, you have to do ribbing or some kind of edge, or it’s automatically a roll-brim hat.

yup that is why i love knitting my hats in the round cuz it gives a great roll brim!..lol

Looks like I freaked out a little early… it’s much more under control now, about 19 rounds in. I’m used to a little bit of curl in the round, but this was just CRAZY curling.

In the beginning it looks like it’s going to curl forever. The bottom stays curled, but you get a break after a while.

Yeah, that’s pretty much how it went. I’m such a n00b! This is what happens when you’re knitting a voodoo doll at 3-6 am.

I wonder if the person you’re knitting it of had problems last night, too. :rofling:

It’s for my MIL!!!

:roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard:

:roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard:

Well - that explains the passive aggressive resistance then, doesn’t it?

Cuidate (careful)…she knows…

:roflhard:

Strangely enough, I know that she will LOVE this thing when it’s finished. She has a VERY strange sense of humor, which is why we get along so well (most of the time).
