Think this would make a good knitting bag?

I can get it for a much better price than that, and I could use it for other things if it didn’t work out as a knitting bag. I need a new knitting bag, and have been bouncing around from one idea to another. Just can’t decide. So what do you think?

Do you keep your knitting in Ziplocks or other bags within a bag? I’d worry a bit about snagging with that one if you left things out to roll around in there since it looks like natural fibers that might come loose in spots. Or you could put a fabric lining in it.

I don’t know about that kind of bag, I would assume they make it so it didn’t have pieces sticking out that would snag stuff but don’t know that for sure. I have orderd their everyday shopping bags though and absolutely love them! I ordered a huge amount for grocery shopping and they are incredibly tough and durable and can hold a huge amount of weight. I just thought I would let you know I loved the quality of what I orderd from them just in case you decided to order anything.

I prefer a bags that has “compartments”. And I constantly worry about snagging. I have a small bag that I keep portable small projects in. Never had a problem, then all of a sudden last week, while working on an almost complete project, the velcro in my bad stuck all over my project! I never thought of velcro being a problem, but then, there it was.

Now if you are going to have a bag sitting in your living room with your knitting in it, I do think this one is nice looking!

That looks like a good tote to carry knitting in!

My favorite knitting bags are the LLBean canvas totes. I have a tiny one that I use as a “knitting or crochet purse” - I’ll use it to hold a small project such as mittens or a sock… it holds one skein perfectly, and any small dpns or crochet hooks I happen to be using at the time. Wonderfully portable when I’m travelling on the MBTA.
