Things that make you go, "Arrrgh!"

  • Finding $12.50 a skein alpaca scattered througout the house and a very happy looking cat snoozing in the knitting chair.

  • Needing 6 more inches of yarn than are left on the skein to finish casting off, and

top on my list of things that make you go, “Arrrgh!” at the moment is

  • confidently ripping the empty DPN out of my left hand only to realize it wasn’t empty and I now have 16 size 0 stitches to pick up… TWICE IN FIVE MINUTES

*Finding my friends scarf all hairy and scattered around the house, covered in hair and anything else that was on the kitchen floor.

*Finding myself covered in yarn and needles in the middle of the night from out cats.

*Having only 1 16in circular, where all the other patterns call for size 7 or 8.

Right now its…

learning Enterlac on my own… so gonna call my mom’s friend tomorrow and she will try to walk me through it on the phone…

the two socks at one time thing  will try this at a much later date again… for the 3rd time…

when a pattern is not right… you contact the designer and the revised is still wrong…

*having your computer monitor go kaflooey when you are in the middle of reading KH!!!

Buying needles in 3 different sizes before trying them out and finding that you hate them and now you can’t start your socks and you can’t return the needles

Realizing you bought more pattern books and don’t need more pattern books and really should not be spending money on more pattern books

*having your son bring you a knot of a mess and asking you what he did wrong. Not to fix it but to explain how he made it.

*falling asleep knitting intarsia to wake up and realize that you did 3 inches all in one color

*trying to make sense of intarsia patterns when you have the flu

*settling on a project because you don’t have the right yarn or pattern for what you really want to do but you don’t know what you really want to do anyway and nothing is inspiring you at the moment.

Christening gown:knit the side seams too when picking up stitches in the arm hole (mama’s NOT a sewer, and didn’t realize)

loosing the car AGAIN after it being in the shop for a week for the SAME problem!! good thing I love my mechanic

feel better everyone!!

Having my 10 year old son beg and make a scene in the LYS for me to buy him some yarn to make some project. Then two days later the yarn and stuff is sitting in a bag in his closet untounded. GGRRRR…

Ordering yarn on-line for an afghan project thinking I have the correct amount needed, then going back and re-reading the pattern just to find out that it states the # of grams, not # of yards needed.

Now to see if I can go back and order more yarn in the same dye lot…

‘:??’ Don’t need pattern books? ‘:??’

Nope, still can’t wrap my head around that idea…
