The Show Must Go ON: Normans Blog

Those big fat needles always remind me of Kindergarten crayons. I find that I knit slower with them, but each row is about an inch, so it all works out.

Yeahhhhh… day 2 almost done… I’ll go down and do a couple more rows

Great color Norman! Is that a reversible pattern? Im looking for one…

A size 50, is a 20 in mm? Just by look they seem 2 cm… You are a tight knitter!

Yes I’m a very tight knitter… but I’m getting better…

those are size 35’s… not sure the metric… it’s just straight knit on both sides, so yeah… it can be turned around… it’s the most basic pattern there is…

Size 35’s-

I have been knitting a lot of clogs lately- size 13 circs- the other night I picked up the sweater I am making for my sister, since if I hope to have it finished by Christmas, I probably should try working on it some! It is on size 6 needles- they felt like TOOTHPICKS after the clogs!! I can’t imagine what it would have been like going from size 35’s!! Nice work, Norman.

(btw, my cat’s name was Norman!)

dont those needles feel a bit ackward? I was happy to go back to smaller needles. Nice job your doing

they did at first… but they are just so fun to knit with…

And I have them here… they are 19mm metric

Finsihed the scraf… or scarf… whichever you want to call it… laughs posting pics in the FO thread…

Knit only??? jajajaja, you are reaaaally a tight knitter.

According to my needle chart, a 35 Us is a 19 mm, so, my eye isn’t that bad.

What is de FO thread?

Isamar FO = finished object

Hrmmmm… what to do next… I have a blanket I need to finish… but that shouldn’t (hopefully) take tooo long…

I would like to do a sweater… but not sure if I’m ready for that yet… and I’d like to do some socks and cables eventually…

Man I’m still such a newbie

You and me both man… you and me both…

Whooohooo… Just got good news…

I dunno if you all heard, but we just closed on a house last tuesday… but still had our Trailer that we needed to get rid of… and we have been trying to sell that for a good couple years now… Just heard that the trailer park will buy it back… all we have to do is get a fax of the payoff for the next 2 weeks… !!!

Be glad to stop paying for that sucker…

 YEAH!! Good news today

YEA!!!

:cheering: :cheering:

Congrats!!

Well well… being home sick does help get some knitting done doesn’t it  laughs

Anyway… here is the hat I Was workiing on (Thanks ingrid) and I didn’t change the pattern… I Guess… I should alwyas “Trust the pattern” as they would say…

Anyway here is the hat without emblesishments
Gotta make the pom and the satin stich ornaments

Very Cool Dave… i like that pattern! Nice color too.

Yeah it was fun… I LOVE doing circs… but those size 4’s are tinee tinyy… Specially after using size 35’s…

Anyway it was fun… the bumps were the coolest part… easy roll brim hat with a couple of rnds purled … Course the decreases and such… it was much fun… now to go learn how to satin stitch

cute hat!!! Wow- from size 35’s to size 4’s- it must have felt like you were knitting with toothpicks!!

Ugggh uwugga…

Man sometimes I hate this pattern… I’m working on a Baby Blanket for the sister… she’s due here in a few weeks, so I Should get it done… but my Good God, it’s 150 stiches on (the cast on was horrid) and there are 47 bg pattern rows (St st) then 27 or so Pattern Rows then another 96 bg pattern rows…

Man each row takes about 20 minutes… This freaking thing is gonna take me a year to knit

Ugghh… got like 3 St st pattern rows done tonight… gonna try to get some more…

I don’t remember what the quote is from but…

“keep on keeping on…”
