The other best circs?

I have the Options set and love them, so I don’t need another set of circs. However, the shortcomings of the Options set have been pointed out, and I’m going to need some 16" circs for doing the necklines of several projects. So what would be the next best ones? They’ll also be for sizes above 3, so the classics from KP are not going to help either.

Personally I like Addis because of the nice flexible cord and the smooth join.

I  LOVE my addi turbos. 12" and 16" circs …

I’ll add a 3rd vote for Addi Turbos! :cheering:

[color=blue]I have this set and use it all the time  . Plymouth Circulars I have been waffling on the Options set. :teehee:

Addi’s get my vote! :cheering:

I’d have to go with Addi Turbos too.

Addi Turbos! They don’t come in sets, but I plan on using them for filling in those sizes that Options don’t have…primarily 16 in cords.

Addi Turbos, all the way! I love love love mine.

Addis: Love the needles HATE the price. My 16’s set me back over $16. I felt soooooooooooooo ripped-off, I mean the needles are good but jeez.

Me, too. I have one pair of Addis and they are nice, but I’m not sure if they’re that nice. You can get them a little cheaper off of Ebay. Do you like wood needles? I like Crystal Palace circs, but some people don’t like their join. I think someone made a set of shorter Options needles by buying dedicated tips and cords, cutting the cords to the desired length, and then gluing them into the tips.

I would order a longer cable set (40-47-60") and use the Magic Loop technique for necklines, etc.

If I can’t knit it with my KP Options/classic circs, I don’t! :teehee:

I have to say Addi Turbos! Even though they are expensive, they are extremely worth it if you like SPEEDY knitting! They are very nice!

Mine cost $21! I love the Addis, but they are just so expensive! :wall:

             :passedout:

Maybe we can get a KH letter going to KP, asking them to Pleeeeeeeease make a 16" cable and maybe add some more tip sizes to the interchangeable set.

Go for it, everyone! I sent them an email earlier today asking the very same thing. Purl Power! 8)

A lot of people have already sent the letter. The problem is the needle length and it doesn’t sound like they are planning on making them shorter for the set so they can get in a 16 in. Maybe they will consider making more sizes for the singles though.

if you buy from here:

http://kangaroo.uk.com/catalogue/needle_detail.php?stId=129&tId=17

you can get the 16" addis for about $7.50 USD and the shipping is minimal plus fast.

Obviously you don’t need another vote for Addi’s, but when you consider that you’ll have them for years and they’re guaranteed for life, the price makes them worthwhile.

i like the susan bates quicksilver needles. they knit quick, and i haven’t had a problem with the join. i use the 16" allllll the time, i don’t like DPNs and magic loop seems too fiddly. they are less than $6, and readily available.
