The Mitten (book) follow up

I wanted to tell you that I shared my knitting with the kindergartners today, (we had read Jan Brett’s story The Mitten) so that they could see how stretchy yarn can get. One of the children pulled it as hard as she could, and said, “A bear just could never ever EVER fit in a mitten.” It was awesome!! Of course, all of the children now want knitted mittens, so I’ve really started something. It was great to have some actual knitting to show the children. I could have never done it without your videos, Amy!!! (I still have to work up to mittens, though.)

Hi
New knitting and this site, but love Amy’s video. That’s how I am teaching myself how to knit. I think I am ready to venture into a non-rectangular project . . .
Back to the subject. I love Jan Brett. She has the most awesome web site – www.jannbrett.com. It has great activities for kids (and adults).
Happy Knitting & Reading
Christine
