The Bad Karma Baby Bootee Debacle

I finally finished two matching bootees on the 6th try! The short version is that I was supposed to go to a baby shower last Saturday, but had plans with my stitch group and didn’t want to go. I decided to make the bootees to absolve my guilt at not attending the actual shower!

Needless to say, what I thought would be a quick little project I could whip up from existing stash yarn turned into 4 trips to the store for buttons/ribbon/yarn. I finally went with Saartje’s adorable pattern and I will definitely make those again (well, in a few months, when I can stand to think about bootees again!) The mom-to-be decorated her nursery in a bumblebee theme, hence the color of the bootees!

Lady Violet, if you only knew the half of it! I probably have one here in the family room that would fit you

Those booties are great. I too say yikes to all the fussing and bothering and numerous shopping trips, sounds like you had a rough weekend.
