You are very welcome! I feel horrible that it took me so long to mail it… the postage was as much as the magazine! Since I had a few orders that I needed to mail at the beginning of the month, DH made me wait until the CTC cheque came to send that out and my best friend’s Christmas parcel. I mailed them both last Sunday, and my best friend got her parcel on the Thursday. I think that about 10 days from here to there is purty durned good for the Canadian Postal System!
Oh that’s okay! It was worth the wait I have to admit I was starting to wonder, but I am glad it’s here Thank you thank you! I wonder why my other Canadian package is taking so long to get here. Bad luck?

For anything that isn’t First Class, or Priority Mail, I would give at least 2 weeks before getting worried, and after 3 weeks start hunting… It’s stupid, but I can have stuff sent to me from the UK faster than I can send something to the US, and Winnipeg is one of the major postal distribution centres too! I knew my best friend’s parcel wouldn’t take too long though. With my business discount, I get 2-4 day delivery for less than what regular parcel post costs {7-10 day delivery} in country. Since yours was mailed as “small packet”, I didn’t get a discount or any faster delivery on it. What’s really stupid is that if I would have sent that to my friend instead, it would have cost me at least $8! :shock: Our postal system sucks… media rate would have come in pretty handy with that mag!
Man this really sucks then, it’s been a little over a month for this package. But then from amazon.com, I just found out that it COULD take 8 weeks. It hasn’t been two months yet, so now I’m not too worried about it. And yeah, this book I’m getting isn’t much heavier than what you sent me.
Canada sounds great, minus the postal system sometimes! lol My boyfriend and I talk about moving there sometimes because of how sucky it is here. Well, it’s not TOO bad living here, but it sure sounds better up in Canada!
Like anything in life, it has its good and bad points. I really like where I live, and even my DH agrees! He’s from Northern BC and Edmonton originally, and he’s said that if we won the 6/49 that he’d still want to live here… out of town mind you… but still here in Manitoba!
