Teeny Tiny Preemie Booties

I knit booties and hats for charity through an organization called “Threads of Love”. http://www.charlottethreadsoflove.org/

Here are some booties that I make for babies that weigh just over one pound! Here’s the pattern: http://www.p2designs.com/images/patterns/DennysJordansSet.html

If you’re looking for something to do with your knitting, check out the national organization: http://www.threadsoflove.org/

Oh my goodness. Those are adorable. I love the “cause.” I think I will look into that. Thanks for posting the links.

OMG! Those are teeny, weeny, itsy bitsy booties.
What size needle did you have to use?

How cute!

How precious!

my son was preemie and i think this is such a wonderful thing to do! im going to try to set something up for our childrens mercy hospital in town. the hospital i work for has a knitting class on campus and ill suggest this (if they havent thought of it already!) i bet the nurses who knit at my hospital will go bananas for this idea.

the booties are precious. makes me tear up seeing how small those babies can be. the littlest fighters for life.

My gosh those are tiny! So cute!

Aww! So cute!!

We also have our own little preemie project going here

those are so cute. i knited a baby hat for my cousin’s baby and it was WAY to small and it looks like it can fit a premie and i got to thinking i wold love to domate to a hospital. so i signed up at the one you posted. thanks for posting that!!!

How cool to see all of you excited about that organization! I love to knit for those little babies. Over the holidays, I made tons of christmas sets. The tiny booties were knit with size 3 needles, and they were finished in less than an hour. Very easy, and fun to do.

Here are some of the christmas sets I made. (I also sew the vests and blankets.)
