I am thinking about making the afghan in this link . I would like to use another yarn if possible can anyone make a suggestion . I guess I will need to change needle size as well if I change Yarn
Switching Yarn
Not if you choose a yarn that knits at the same gauge…
Why not use the Lion Brand chenille? That’s one of the few LB yarns I really like!
I read alot of messages on Google and alot of folks said it was hard to knit with because it shed and twisted alot . Since I am just learning I thought it would be easier if I used a chunky yarn . I cannot find one that knits the same gauge on the same needle size. I think the pattern is pretty easy so I would like give it a try. Also here in Nova Scotia I priced the yarn and It is $9.00 a ball I need 6 balls for the pattern and if it did not knit well it would be a waste of money . If anyone has used it with no problem I would love to know. I do not mind spending the money it it ends ok
They have it here for half that price!
Thanks for the link but this is a USA site I am in canada and with the exchange and shipping it would be about the same price . If it is easy to work with I may just go ahead and spend the Money
