Above is the link to a sweater pattern I want to knit for my BF. There is a stitch pattern… referred to as M.1., I do not understand how to do this part. Can anyone help explain this to me?

M.1 is the chart, and the key for the chart is
=P from RS, K from WS
=1 YO + slip 1 st as if to K
=From WS: Work P tog YO and the slipped st
So Row One and all odd rows (RS) would be read from right to left, and all even rows are read left to right (WS)
Row one - yo + slip as if to knit; p; all across the row.
Row two - knit; purl YO and slipped stitch together all across the row
