Hi I want to substitute jamiesons spendrift yarn with 2ply 500gram jumper weight cone , also by jamiesons (apparently it’s oiled and will wash off when finished but will it knit up the same )

Hi thankyou for your reply , will the oiled cone version , 500g , knit up the same ? on the site pictures it looks a lot thinner? Does the ‘oiling’ give it a different result at all ? Many thanks for your help I really appreciate it xx
It’s not clear to me on the website but those are good question to ask the company or a shop carrying the yarn.
