Stuck on the collar

I’m knitting a Cable Detail Cutaway Top by Debbie Bliss. I’m almost finished but can get past the collar instructions.
I’m not sure what patt 8 means. Any help would be greatly appreciated

With right side facing, work p1, [k2, p2] 3 times, k2, p1,
across the first group of 16 sts; work patt 8, p1, [k2, p2]
3(3:4:4:5) times, k2, p1, patt 8, across 32(32:36:36:40)
sts at centre front; work p1, [k2, p2] 3 times, k2, p1
across second group of 16 sts work; then work
patt 8, p1, [k2, p2] 3(3:4:4:5) times, k2, p1, patt 8,
across 32(32:36:36:40) sts at centre back.
96(96:104:104:112) sts.

When you look at the photo you can just see that the cable pattern up the raglan, continues on the collar. Patt 8 must be k1,p1, Cable 4, p1,k1. Twist the cable to the front or back so that it continues the cable on whichever part of the top you’re working.
It’s a very pretty top.
