Stuck on a sweater pattern

I am having a bit of trouble decifering the following instruction from a sweater pattern I am knitting: :wall:

[color=darkred]Dec 1 st at armhole edge on 4th (2nd: 2nd: 2nd: 2nd) and foll 0 (0: 1: 2: 3) alt rows, then on 1(2: 2: 2: 2) foll 4th rows and at same time make 1(1: 1: 1: 2) buttonhole more as before in 8th and foll 0 (0: 0: 0: 8th) row.[/color]

Does this mean I need to knit 4 more rows and then dec? After that I am even more confused as to what to do. BTW I am making the xs size. Thanks for any help. I want to finish this sweater; I started it in Septrmber! :XX:

I’m assuming you cast off stitches already for the underarm?

Knit 3 more rows, and on the 4th row, and the 8th row, decrease at the armhole edge. I believe that since this is your 8th row, you should make another buttonhole, too. You can be a better judge of that since you can see how far apart the buttonholes are.
