Stripes like a barber pole

I’m making a crazy sweater that my DS designed and I’m stumped as to how to do the sleeves the way he wants: white and yellow stripes going around like on an old-fashioned barber pole. :wall: I’m knitting on straight needles, by the way, not circular, although I could probably switch if it would help. Thanks in advance!

If you mean in sort of diagonal /// slanting stripes as you go up, that is kind of a tough one. The only way I can think of would be some kind of chart that changes the colors in the way you’re describing. If you can make some graph paper and plot out the color changes as you’re thinking it should turn out that would work. Maybe there is an easier way someone else can think of!

:waving: Thanks Kemp!

:figureditout: :happydance: :x: Switched to circulars and it was very easy - just switch colors one stitch later on each round!

 No chart needed for that :roflhard: Guess I would’ve noticed if I actually sat down with some graph paper.

glad you got it figured out!
