ive only ever done stripes working in flat knitting. im knitting a pair of socks in the round on double pointed needles, its a striped pattern, it calls for about 3 inches of 1k, 1p ribbing, then the rest in stockenette stitch. how do i add the new colour, and how do i knit that first row so the colours are seemless looking?
Just start knitting with the new color yarn. You can close up any loose sts or hole later by snugging up the end and using the yarn end to close a hole. Thisvideo has some suggestions for jogless stripes that may help.
