Striped scarf w/4 different yarns

Help! I’m a beginner & found a pattern for a very easy (well that’s what the yarn people said) cute scarf using 4 different yarns - 2 fuzzy & 2 with sparkly threads - on size 9 needles. The scarf is knitted in stripes of 4 rows of each yarn. Any suggestions how to handle changing the yarns? I’m not sure if carrying up the side will work due to the different textures. And weaving in ends every 4 rows sounds painful to me.

In case you’d like to see the pattern, I found it on Berroco site

Thanks much for any advice.

Cute scarf. I’d cut the yarn after each section weave in the ends. It is a pain, but it will look much better. A nice yarn needle will make the process less painful.

It IS a cute scarf, isn’t it! Thanks a lot for the advice.
