Striped Baby Blanket

I’m making a simple 2 color striped baby blanket in garter stitch. How do you recommend that I join the colors? Should cut the yarn and join in the new color or should i just carry the yarn up the WS of the blanket? My striped are about 10 rows wide. Thanks.

Since your blanket is 10 rows per stripe and is intended for a baby, I personally would not carry the yarn from stripe to stripe (it could snag or the baby could start to pull on the strings/threads). I would cut and weave in the ends. Knitty.com “Techniques with Theresa” has a nice tutorial.
