Storing Blocking Boards

I just purchased a set of blocking boards from Knit Picks and wondered if anyone else has ~ my question is if you have a set, how do you store them? I’m wondering if putting them in a tote would be better than keeping them in the box they were shipped in. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!

I have mine sitting on the shelf in a closet. I don’t think they have to be treated particularly carefully or anything other than to keep them from getting smooshed.

I keep mine in the box (ok, boxes) that they came in.

I don’t really have any shelf-space to put them on, but I saw a set that my LYS has for sale that come in a tote. I thought that might be a good way to keep them, as they can be hung up and not be in a box on the floor.

Yeah, a tote would be great if you don’t have a nice place to store them. Or maybe one of those zipper bags that come with comforters, etc would be nice.

I also have two sets, Salmonac.

I have a large ziplock-type bag that they will fit into. I’ll keep a lookout at Target, Ross, etc., for maybe a tote in the future. Thank you for the suggestion!
I’m looking forward to using the blocking boards/pins, as I have a couple of finished projects that need to be blocked. How do you like them?

I love them enough to buy another set! They were great for blocking my Wisp. DH bought me some tig welding wires to insert in the sides then I used the pins to stretch it out so I had nice straight sides.

Very pretty! I have some tig welding wires as well, but haven’t had a chance to use them yet. Your “Wisp” looks beautiful! :cheering:
Thank you for your help Jan!
