Stop scarf from curling tips when using the stocking stitch

Hello I am very new to knitting and I need all the help I can get. I am happy to find this site.
If anyone has ideas how I can stop scarf from curling tips when using the stocking stitch I would be so happy to hear them …Thank you

Don’t use stocking stitch. Or at least not by itself. You can knit it with garter or seed st border on all edges, or pick up sts and knit or crochet the edging around it.

Thank you so much …

Even with the edge stitches, it still tends to curl. It’s nothing you’re doing, it’s just the nature of the stitch. You can knit this in all stockinette in the round as a tube. If you’re not skilled enough to knit in the round yet, you can knit this as a straight piece and seam it along the length. If you look at store bought scarves, that’s what many of them are. Long stockinette stitch tubes with fringe on the bottom.

I don’t have an answer for you. I just wanted to tell you, you’re not alone. I am new to knitting (and loving it!) too. Made my first scarf and yup it curled. My dear daughter for whom the scarf was for said she liked the way it curled. Bless her heart
