Stop curling in a scarf?

Hello!
I am a newbie and working on a scarf for a Christmas gift. My dilemma is that the stitches I chose have seed stitch on the border and it looks like it will be very curled in. I was wondering if there is a running stitch I could do at the end to make it flatter? Open to ideas … I just don’t want to have to begin again.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum!
Your scarf is lovely in a beautiful pattern and colors. Seed stitch is a good border stitch to help mitigate the strong tendency of stockinette stitch (knit one row, purl one row) to curl but it needs to be deeper to really help. Even then the main body of the stockinette will make the border flip.
Pinning out flat and blocking may help especially with wool yarns.
Techknitter has a 4-part series of columns on ways around the curl that may help.

Thanks for the link to the blog! Nice to know I am not the only one that has done this
Based on the article I think I will try applying a lining of some kind when I am done.

I had done this pattern for a practice square but I did not realize the stockinette would make it curl over distance. I feel a lot better with a solution. Thank you!

Let us know how it turns out. We’ve all faced the dread stockinette curl in one project or another. And welcome to knitting!
