So I’m making mittens and I’ve got 13 sts on a stitch holder. To knit from the stitch before the holder to the stitch after the stitch holder, I end up with a weird string of yarn no matter how tight I make it. As far as I can tell, there’s just no way to avoid it, right? I mean there’s a gap- you have to knit two stitches around the gap and that’s just what happens? Is that right?
My second question- if there’s no way to avoid the string thing, will you be able to cover it up later when you do the thumb?
Thanks!
