Hi I was wondering if anyone knew how to do that stitch in the picture next to the “picking up stitches” video in the knitting tips section?
It’s not a stitch, it’s picking up stitches. Did you watch the video?
Not sure what you’re referring to-- do you mean in the list of videos on the tips page, that there is a little photo next to where you click on to watch the video? Amy’s holding a swatch with olive and orange yarn? That’s just stockinett stitch on its side. Stockinett stitch is when you knit 1 row, purl 1 row, and keep alternating those 2 rows. It makes little Vs on the outside and in that photo, she’s just taken a piece of knitting done in stockinett st and turned it sideways to show picking up sts along the edge of the fabric. Is that what you mean, or something else?
