I’ve learned so much from all of you over the last couple of months, so I just keep asking as things come up. Hope that’s okay. Today’s question is: I was once told to"pull" my yarn down and across when I finished a row–sort of like straightening/shaping it for lack of a better word. Is that right, or am I stretching it out of shape? If I’m supposed to do it, can you give me a little direction so I don’t pull too much?
As long as you don’t keep a lot of tension on the yarn it won’t stretch. Most yarn is quite elastic, so it eases back into shape.
So do I need to pull/straighten it at the end of a row?
Just make sure you don’t pull the seaming thread tight.
