I love to knit my socks. My dilema is that they dont last. I walk in my stocking feet (or should I say socking feet) around the house. After a short time I get holes in the bottom of my socks - the ball of the foot - not the heel. I tried to reinforce then with Wolly Nylon but that did not work. I am using Moda Dea Sassy Sripes. I admit I dont hand wash my socks. Anyone have any suggestions on a machine wash and dry good sock yarn?
