Still "contemplating" Man's Sock Pattern

Hi everyone got my Bamboo DPN’s (set of 11) and some misc metal (just in case) I think I am ready to tackle socksCrossed Fingers
Went here:
http://www.knittychick.com/free_sock_patterns.htm and I am totally overwhelmed:chair: all I need is a toe-up man’s sock…Nice but simple (I am still a "newbie) any suggestions? Also, checked out KH pattern site too…Thanks:hug: After lots of review and researching and books…Are socks just wayyyyyy to complicated to attempt??? Should I start socks after or during knitting therapy???:woot:
