Still can't figure this out! Please help! lol

What am I doing wrong?
I have been trying to knit this horse finger puppet. After I get past the stockinette stitch for the first 12 rows, all goes wrong. I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong. This is the part that gets me…the part that says form the nose. I keep getting holes from the slip stitches and it looks nothing like the picture at the end. Am I not slipping the stitch correctly or am I missing a step?
This is the webpage if it helps any.

I am still getting holes in my work where it says to slip the stitch and turn the work. I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong.

Make the Horse

With brown yarn, cast on 15 stitches. Work 12 rows in stockinette stitch.

Form the Nose
Beginning on right side of work, knit 10, [turn work, slip 1, purl 4, turn, slip 1, knit 4] 3 times. Knit 5. Work 5 more rows in stockinette stitch.
please help! THANKS SO MUCH!!!

try bringing your yarn forward to purl before slipping the first stitch, and take it back to knit prior to slipping and doing the knit 4, so the yarn wraps around the slipped stitch.

It could be that their holes are hidden under the nose. Try Mario’s way and see if the wrapped stitch works better for you.

It seems as if it could be two holes but, in the picture it doesn’t look like it. Also, The part about turning the work…I just want to make sure that I’m doing that part in quotes correctly. Ugh. I feel dumb lol.
thanks!
