Thanks everyone!! Baby things are my favorite, so the steeked baby sweater seemed like just the ticket. I’ve never seen one done before, but doubt I am the first one to do it. LOL

There is an excellent thread that is in the “How to questions” folder, that Ingrid started (it is in the top section—the sticky threads) about steeks. You find a lot more if you research, but Ingrid’s is about the best for general information, with the added feature that you can tap her expertise by asking her questions.

Steeks, the realm of the fearless. My attempt at cutting and putting back together knitting was not nearly as successful as yours. Congratulations! It will be a lucky baby.
