I am starting an afghan and the pattern says that you work one holding two strands of yarn together. What does this mean?
Starting an Afghan
Is that the exact wording? Do you have a link to the pattern?
Possibly you are working the stitches using two strands of yarn and it’s just worded strangely.
working the stitches using two strands of yarn
If this idea is new to you and confusing you I’ll try to explain a bit more. Use two pieces of yarn, usually one from each of 2 different skeins of yarn. Hold them together as if they were one strand of yarn and knit that way. It’s to make it thicker and the stitches bigger, so faster to do as well.
Thank you MarigoldinWA your instructions were quite clear and will make knitting this Afghan easier:cheering:
