Starting a neckband

Hello all,

Me again. :joy: I’m having an absolute brain shutdown with getting started on a neckband. When I’m picking up stitches from the holders am I just knitting one at a time? For example my shoulder stitch holders have 9 stitches on, do I just knit one at a time or do I put all 9 on the needle?

Ok, I think I’ve just realised what a silly question I’ve asked. If I put the 9 stitches on a needle I’m knitting them one at a time anyway. So if I knit those 9 then I individually pick up the stitches going down the neck I can then put the stitches from the front stitch holder on the needle etc.

It’s a good question and thanks for asking. Yes, just knit across the held sts from the sleeve and decrease twice as you work across those 9 sts.

When you get to the front sts on a holder you knit across those sts (or any held sts).

Terrific color combination and very pretty knitting!
