I can’t believe I finished the Bernat Star Afghan! It took a solid two months of knitting to get it done. When I finished the knitting, I wove in the ends, then stuck the afghan in the washing machine for a cool rinse with fabric softener.
Then, I took it outside to display it on my car:
Next, I took it back inside to block it, but it was too large for my blocking board. So, I just pinned it on the wall. :teehee:
Wow, that’s spectacular! I can’t imagine finishing such a large project – I’m having trouble getting through a baby blanket. It really is pretty. What kind of yarn did you use?
Thank you all!
I’m so happy to be finished. :cheering:
I used Bernat Super Value yarn - the new, softer kind.
Here’s the free pattern on the Bernat website:

:teehee: I wanted to get a photo outside in the sunlight, but didn’t want to get the afghan dirty. My car was the only clean thing I could find!
It’s just fantastic, Sandy!!! Great job and love the colors…you will have a bit of “empty nest syndrome” feelings but will definitely whizz through any projects you do after this!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:
