Star Afghan

I can’t believe I finished the Bernat Star Afghan! It took a solid two months of knitting to get it done. When I finished the knitting, I wove in the ends, then stuck the afghan in the washing machine for a cool rinse with fabric softener.

Then, I took it outside to display it on my car:

Next, I took it back inside to block it, but it was too large for my blocking board. So, I just pinned it on the wall. :teehee:

Wow, that’s spectacular! I can’t imagine finishing such a large project – I’m having trouble getting through a baby blanket. It really is pretty. What kind of yarn did you use?

Oh, neat! Love the pic on the car lol!

Great job on that! It’s really cool!

Wow, it looks awesome!!

Thank you all!
I’m so happy to be finished. :cheering:

I used Bernat Super Value yarn - the new, softer kind.
Here’s the free pattern on the Bernat website:

:teehee: I wanted to get a photo outside in the sunlight, but didn’t want to get the afghan dirty. My car was the only clean thing I could find!

Oh wow!!! I LOVE it! :o)

Wow! It turned out awesome!!! Congrats!

Great job!

Oy! My hands and wrists ache for ya’! I remember how my hands felt when I had finally finished that log cabin blanket (the City Tweed one).

My hands are still sore from it, Dollyce! :help:

I’m soooooo glad to move onto other knitting projects now.

Oh yessss! I feel yer pain…and yer excitement to move on! :happydance:

Very nice job, I really like the colors you chose. I just downloaded this pattern this evening

Good luck with your afghan, Tillie!

The hardest part of the pattern was the increase stitch. I made a video of how to do it here:
