SSK and k2togtbl - don't they reduce stitches?

Winter Dickey Pattern

Outer Side of Collar (start with 100 cast on stitches)

Rnds 1-4: *p2, [k1tbl] 2 times, p1, rep from * to eor.
Rnd 5: *p2, yo, k2togtbl, p2, rep from * to eor
Rnd 6: *p2, [k1tbl] 2 times, p1, rep from * to eor
Rnd 7: *p2, SSK, yo, p1, rep from * to eor
Rnd. 8: *p2, [k1tbl] 2 times, p1, rep from * to eor
Rnds 9-12: Rep rnds 5-8

Rep rnds 1-12 once more

Question: k2togtbl will drop a stitch each time
SSK will drop a stitch each time

Therefore, how can I end up with 100 stitches still on the needles at the end of this part?

The pattern goes on to knit a simple pattern for 2 ΒΌ inches, then starts onto the next part, which assumes that there are still 100 stitches on the needle. How can this be?

The YOs add sts - do not knit a st as part of the YO, just wrap the yarn around and work the next stitch.
